Bid: Deadlines extended
On Thursday, 7 May 2020, it was announced that the Conference of Ministers of Education, the European Commission, and the Cultural Foundation of the Länder had agreed to extend the deadlines and dates. The European Capital of Culture 2025 competition process will be extended by several weeks due to the COVID-19 crisis.
New dates:
- Submission of the second bid book: 21 September 2020
- European jury visit: 23 October 2020
- Final jury session: 26 - 28 October 2020
- Decision & announcement: 28 October 2020
