There it is — our second bid book!
100 pages filled with our ideas, strategies and our programme for the application as European Capital of Culture 2025: The three themes HUMANITY, ACTIVITY and COMMUNITY are set in our bid. We negotiate the future of remembrance, look at the mechanisms of power and focus on topics such as dignity and equality. We ask: How do we shape the world? Nürnberg is an open, transcultural and European city - people treat each other with tolerance and respect. For this concept of the open city to succeed, strong communities are needed. One of our biggest projects is "Nürnberg Time Machine", in which local and European history is systematically made accessible and the past is digitally revived. Our program and the entire Bid Book II is available on our homepage at www.n2025.eu
Four more cities are in the running: Chemnitz, Hannover, Hildesheim and Magdeburg. The decision of the international jury on which German city will receive the title of "European Capital of Culture 2025" will be made on 28 October 2020.
